Al Jefferson has been outstanding this year for the Minnesota Timberwolves

Al Jefferson was the centerpiece of the Kevin Garnett trade and he hasn’t disappointed this season. Jefferson has played in 13 games this season for the T-Wolves and he has averaged 36.5 minutes, 20.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.1 blocks per game. He also has shot the ball very well for the Wolves as he has hit 52.5% from the floor and 74.5% from the free throw line this season. Jefferson has the potential to get even better and that has Wolves fans and the front office happy.

The T-Wolves shot the ball very well last night (53.2% from the floor) which was the big reason that they won their first game of the season. Rashad McCants led the way for the Wolves with 33 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. AL Jefferson had another solid game last night with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Antoine Walker finally showed up last night with 19 points and 4 rebounds in 30 minutes off of the bench. The Timberwolves are now 1-5 on the season.

The T-Wolves just didn’t have enough gas left in the tank to pull out this victory. Al Jefferson led the way for the Timberwolves with 17 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists. Rashad McCants had another solid game with 16 points and 4 rebounds. Corey Brewer stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Theo Ratliff was the ruler of the paint with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. The T-Wolves are now 0-5 on the season.

Los Angeles Lakers 107, Minnesota Timberwolves 93

The Timberwolves only shot 38.9% from the floor and they were outrebounded 51-44 in this game which are the reasons for the lop sided loss. Al Jefferson led the way for the Timberwolves with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Ryan Gomes also had a solid game with 17 points and 3 rebounds. Sebastian Telfair played his best game in a long, long time as he finished with 15 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in only 26 minutes on the court. The T-Wolves are now 0-4 on the season.

Orlando Magic 111, Minnesota Timberwolves 103

The T-Wolves put up a good fight with the Magic before folding down the stretch. Al Jefferson led the way for the Magic with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Ryan Gomes was also busy with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Craig Smith was outstanding off of the bench as he scored 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in only 15 minutes on the court. The Timberwolves are now 0-3 on the season.
