The Timberwolves got screwed in this game as the Knicks outscored them 30-6 at the free throw line as the refs appeared to give an edge to the Knicks. Ryan Gomes led the way for the T-Wolves with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Al Jefferson also had a great game with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 1 assist. Craig Smith also had a good game off of the bench with 14 points and 5 rebounds in only 23 minutes. The Timberwolves fell to 0-2 on the season with this loss.

The Timberwolves left everything on the floor in their home opener and they just came up a little short. The biggest problem for the T-Wolves was their shooting as they only hit 39.8% from the floor and it’s hard to win that way. Rashad McCants led the way for the Wolves with 23 points. Al Jefferson had a solid debut for the T-Wolves with 16 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists. Theo Ratliff also had a good first game for the Wolves with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. The Timberwolves are now 0-1 on the season.
