The Timberwolves have acquired 33-year old center Mark Blount from the Heat for 29-year old SG/SF Quentin Richardson. Blount played in 20 games (0 starts) for the Heat last season and he averaged 10.4 minutes, 4.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. He has now played in 605 games (393 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 23.1 minutes, 8.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. But, Blount has played his best basketball of his NBA career in Minnesota. In the 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons he played in 124 games (111 starts) for the T-Wolves in which he averaged 29.8 minutes, 11.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. He should help out the T-Wolves in the frontcourt this season. You have to hope that Quentin Richardson has finally found a home in Miami as he has now been traded four times this off-season.
