Who will it be at shooting guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves?
That is a question that good NBA teams never have to ask. But this is the T-Wolves. It appears that 29-year old Damien Wilkins might have a slight edge here for the starting job. He played in 41 games for the Thunder last season and he averaged 15.5 minutes, 5.3 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. Don’t expect miracles out of him. The better choice would probably be Sasha Pavlovic. The 25-year old played in 66 games for the Cavs last season and he averaged 16.0 minutes, 4.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Pavlovic also shot 41% from three point range for the Cavaliers last season. He has a lot of potential but he was buried on the depth charts of the Cavs and Jazz. 21-year old Wayne Ellington was the 28th pick in the first round of the NBA Draft for the T-Wolves. It will be interesting to see how much playing time they will give him as a rookie as there are minutes to be had at shooting guard.
