Jonny Flynn is off to a good start for the Minnesota Timberwolves

Rookie point guard Jonny Flynn is off to a good start for the Minnesota Timberwolves this year. He has played in 8 games (all starts) for the T-Wolves this season and he is averaging 28.4 minutes, 15.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Flynn has a huge upside and the Timberwolves will give him the playing time to get to his full potential quicker.

The Timbewolves outrebounded the Warriors 53-38 last night but it was not near enough to compete in the game last night. The T-Wolves didn’t play any defense as the Warriors shot 57.1% from the floor and the Warriors scored at least 33 points in each quarter last night. The T-Wolves were also very sloppy with the basketball as the Warriors stole the ball 22 times from them last night. Jonny Flynn led the way for the Timberwolves in this game with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Al Jefferson only played 20 minutes last night scoring 18 points and grabbing 3 rebounds. Sasha Pavlovic had his best game of the year for the T-Wolves as he finished up with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists off the bench. The Timberwolves are now 1-7 on the year.

The T-Wolves didn’t play any defense tonight as the Blazers shot 50% from the floor and they outrebounded the puppies 49-39. Backup center Nathan Jawai led the way for the T-Wolves off the bench with 16 points and 6 rebounds in only 23 minutes. Ryan Gomes had a solid game for the Wolves with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Al Jefferson only played 25 minutes tonight but he still racked up 12 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. The Timberwolves are now 1-6 on the season.

The T-Wolves only shot 39.2% from the floor last night and they were outrebounded 51-38 and that is not a good combination. Jonny Flynn led the way for the T-Wolves last night with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Corey Brewer pitched in last night with 13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. No one else scored more than 8 points for the Timberwolves last night. The Timberwolves are now 1-5 on the season.

The Timberwolves shot 52% from the floor last night as they almost upset the Boston Celtics. Oleksiy Pecherov led the way for the T-Wolves with 24 points and 8 rebounds last night. Al Jefferson pitched in with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists last night. Corey Brewer was also busy scoring 13 points, grabbing 3 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists. The Timberwolves are now 1-4 on the season.
