The Minnesota Timberwolves acquire Alando Tucker from the Suns

The Timberwolves have acquired 25-year old small forward Alando Tucker, a conditional future 2nd round pick and cash from the Suns for 31-year old point guard Jason Hart. Tucker played in 11 games (0 starts) for the Suns this season and he averaged 6.5 minutes, 3.9 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. He has now played in 47 games (1 start) in which he has averaged 8.5 minutes, 4.3 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.3 assists per game. Jason Hart only played in 1 game for the Timberwolves this season and he played 5 scoreless minutes with 1 assist and 1 steal. The Suns immediately cut Hart. This was a good trade for the Timberwolves as Tucker will get a chance to show what he can do for them off the bench.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will be looking to trade Ramon Sessions

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Need to step up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 29 December 2009 at 10:57 am

Ramon Sessions is wasting away on the Timberwolves’ bench and he’s way too talented to be stuck there. With that in mind the T-Wolves have a very nice trade chip who could bring them back potentially a first round pick and a lesser played. Sessions has played in 31 games (0 starts) for the T-Wolves this season and he is averaging 21.5 minutes, 8.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. If the Timberwolves were on the fringe of being a playoff team I think it would be smart to keep him. But, with him playing behind Jonny Flynn and being too small to team with him in the backcourt I think a trade makes the most sense.
