The Minnesota Timberwolves (4-22) were ice cold from the field Wednesday night and were blown out by the Los Angeles Clippers (11-13).  They shot 39% from the field and hit only 1-11 three points attempts.  The T’Wolves were within 12 going into the final quarter, but they were outscored 29-16 in the fourth.  Kevin Love was pretty much the only T’Wolves player to play well, going 7-12 from the field for 19 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.  They only had three players score in double figures, while the Clippers had six with Eric Gordon leading the way with 25 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Kevin Love is off to a fast start for the Minnesota Timberwolves

Kevin Love missed the first month of the season while he was rehabbing from a broken hand but he’s making up for lost time now. Love has played in 7 games (3 starts) this season for the Timberwolves and he is averaging 30.3 minutes, 13.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He will even be better when he gets his legs back from missing a month. Love’s return has already helped out Al Jefferson who doesn’t need to feel like he has to do everything on the inside anymore.

Al Jefferson had another monster game for the T-Wolves last night with 23 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists. Corey Brewer pitched in with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. The Timberwolves are now 4-21 on the year.
