You can’t blame Al Jefferson for the Minnesota Timberwolves poor play

The Minnesota Timberwolves have had an embarrassing season this year, and are in dead last in the Western Conference with a 14-60 record.  After having a nice four-game winning streak in early February, the Timberwolves have gone on to lose 15 straight and 21 of their last 22 games.  One guy you can’t blame for their losing ways is their center, Al Jefferson.  The big man is averaging 17.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 0.9 steals while shooting 50% from the field.  Those numbers are a drop-off from his numbers the past two seasons, but with very little help around him in Minnesota it’s understandable.  Jefferson has been a fantasy basketball gold mine, but unfortunately for Timberwolves’ fans that doesn’t mean much since they are the worst team in the Western Conference.
