23-year old small forward Michael Beasley missed some time due to injury recently, but he’s back with the vengeance right now. In his last two games, Beasley is averaging 26.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Beasley has now played in 10 games (7 starts) so far this year and he is averaging 30.6 minutes, 14.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. I think Beasley will get his starting job back in no time if he keeps playing like he is right now.

Ricky Rubio was outstanding running the offense as he finished up with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 11 assists and 1 steal. Luke Ridnour pitched in with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in this game. The Timberwolves are now 10-11 on the season.

The Timberwolves didn’t play well enough offensively or defensively to beat the Lakers last night despite outrebounding them 52-41. The Timberwolves outrebounded the Spurs 46-34 and they outscored them 23-15 in the 4th quarter to surge to victory last night! Kevin Love (18 points, 16 rebounds and 1 steal) and Ricky Rubio (18 points, 4 rebounds and 10 assists) led the way for the Timberwolves in this game. Nikola Pekovic got a rare start last night as Darko Milicic had the flu, and he made the most of it. Pekovic finished up with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 33 minutes on the floor. Derrick Williams pitched in with 12 points and 3 rebounds in only 19 minutes on the floor. The Timberwolves are now 9-10 on the year.

30-year old PG/SG Luke Ridnour is off to a good start for the T-Wolves so far this year. One had to think that Ridnour’s P.T. was going to be cut due to Ricky Rubio and J.J. Barea being added to the roster, but that hasn’t been the case so far this year. Ridnour has played in 17 games (all starts) for the T-Wolves so far this year and he is averaging 32.4 minutes, 12.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game. The Timberwolves will continue to give Ridnour big time minutes as long as he keeps producing.
