Michael Beasley is getting hot for the Minnesota Timberwolves

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Steppin Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Tuesday 31 January 2012 at 1:46 pm

23-year old small forward Michael Beasley missed some time due to injury recently, but he’s back with the vengeance right now. In his last two games, Beasley is averaging 26.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Beasley has now played in 10 games (7 starts) so far this year and he is averaging 30.6 minutes, 14.9 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. I think Beasley will get his starting job back in no time if he keeps playing like he is right now.

Luke Ridnour is off to a good start for the Minnesota Timberwolves

30-year old PG/SG Luke Ridnour is off to a good start for the T-Wolves so far this year. One had to think that Ridnour’s P.T. was going to be cut due to Ricky Rubio and J.J. Barea being added to the roster, but that hasn’t been the case so far this year. Ridnour has played in 17 games (all starts) for the T-Wolves so far this year and he is averaging 32.4 minutes, 12.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game. The Timberwolves will continue to give Ridnour big time minutes as long as he keeps producing.

Kevin Love is picking up where he left off last season for the Minnesota Timberwolves

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Steppin Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Wednesday 4 January 2012 at 7:43 pm

23-year old power forward Kevin Love was outstanding last year and he is looking to put up similar numbers in 2011-12. Love has played in 5 games (all starts) for the Timberwolves so far this year and he is averaging 39.0 minutes, 25.4 points, 15.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game. Not only is he putting up great counting numbers, but he is shooting the lights out from everywhere on the court so far this year. Love is hitting 47.6% from the floor, 44% from three point range and 77.6% from the free throw line so far this year for the Timberwolves. The T-Wolves hope that Love can stay healthy all season long, because the sky is the limit for him.

Anthony Randolph was a nice pickup for the Minnesota Timberwolves

Blogged under General, Bloglockers, Steppin Up, Front Page by alleyoop on Friday 27 May 2011 at 2:22 pm

21-year old power forward Anthony Randolph was acquired during last year from the Knicks and he looked good for the Timberwolves. Randolph played in 23 games (3 starts) for the T-Wolves last year and he averaged 20.1 minutes, 11.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He played in 40 games (3 starts) overall for the T-Wolves & Knicks last year and he averaged 14.8 minutes, 7.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. Randolph has now played in 136 games (33 starts) in his first three years in the NBA and he is averaging 18.1 minutes, 8.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 1.1 blocked shots per game. Randolph will likely be Kevin Love’s top backup moving forward for the Timberwolves. He has a very nice upside.
